Actuarial Research at GSU

Georgia State University boasts an impressive record of accomplished academic actuaries that have served on its faculty, including Bob Batten, Sam Cox, Floyd Harper, Shaun Wang, and Eli Zubay, just to name a few. Building on this legacy, GSU faculty continue to produce cutting-edge actuarial research. Given the department’s broad risk orientation, we particularly foster cross-disciplinary research that compounds actuarial questions or methodology with elements from economics, finance, or statistics.
